Do I have to use the Chrome extension to use hivi?

No. You can fill PDFs and paper forms (from a photo) entirely inside the web app at hivi.ca. The Chrome extension is for autofilling web forms on other sites.

Yes. Sensitive fields are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM, and every request between your browser, the API, and internal AI services uses TLS.
