Banking And Sensitive Forms

Banking and high-stakes forms

Financial institutions often use multi-step flows, anti-fraud checks, and custom controls. hivi autofill shines on everyday profile-style fields while respecting each bank’s own security design.

When manual entry is safer

  • Credentials: passwords, full card numbers, CVV, PINs, or one-time codes belong in a password manager or the bank’s own UI—keep them out of general profile paragraphs meant for reuse.
  • Wire or transfer screens where you want extra deliberate typing—slow down and enter values carefully from a trusted source.
  • Any page that asks you to disable browser extensions or password managers for that step.

Where hivi can still save time

  • Non-secret profile blocks some banks still ask in onboarding: mailing address, phone, email, employer name (when you are comfortable storing them in hivi).
  • Brokerage or fintech “profile completeness” forms that mirror generic KYC questions—only after you confirm the site is genuine and autofill is appropriate.

Habits that keep you in control

  1. Verify the domain (lock icon, correct spelling, no homoglyph tricks).
  2. Enable autofill only on that bank’s real origin; turn it off when you leave.
  3. Review every autofilled field before you continue to the next step.
  4. On a shared PC, sign out of the extension and the website when finished. See Sign out and shared devices.
