Your Information Hub
Your information hub (source of truth)
hivi is known for filling forms faster: your profile and the Chrome extension suggest answers so you retype less. The other half of the same idea is this: you gradually collect information in the app so that, later, hivi is the place you trust when something asks for facts you would rather look up once in one place.
Think of it as a personal source of truth—for “autofill this field,” and also for “what was our home insurance policy number,” “when did we buy the car,” “the vet’s name,” “the kids’ school ID,” or “where did I save that scan of the lease.”
What “collect everything useful” can mean
You can build this over time. Add items when life hands them to you:
- Structured profile — employment, education, contacts, identifiers you reuse on applications (see First steps after signing up).
- Scanned or photographed documents — IDs, letters, certificates, contracts; keep them in Files or wherever your account stores uploads so you can find them under pressure (see Files and My Documents).
- Household and life context — anything you might need on a form or phone call later: home details, vehicle, dependents, pets, memberships, providers. If the product has dedicated fields or notes for these, use them; otherwise Files plus a short note in your profile workflow keeps it searchable in one place.
The goal is a habit: when you need to remember something for paperwork, a portal, or a PDF, open hivi first—the same reflex as when you want to fill a web form quickly.
How this connects to forms and documents
- Web forms — the extension and profile pull from what you stored.
- PDFs and in-app documents — many flows map saved data into fields; your library supports attachments and context.
- Future you — months later, dates and reference numbers are already captured where you left them.
Trust and review
A source of truth only works if the data is accurate. When you import with AI or scan a document, verify critical fields before you rely on them for something official. See AI reliability notice and Keep your profile accurate.
Where to start
- What is hivi and why use it — the form-filling story.
- Upload a CV and review the import — fast bulk entry, then correct.
- Files and My Documents — where scans and uploads live versus template-based documents.
