Upload CV and review extracted fields
On Import Your Profile, choose Upload CV to send a PDF or DOCX resume. hivi reads the file and proposes values for your profile fields.
Why review matters
Extraction can misread dates, merge lines, or miss uncommon section titles. You are responsible for what you submit on external sites later, so treat the review screen as quality control—an important step before saving.
Recommended workflow
- Use a clean CV: standard headings (Experience, Education), legible fonts, and text-based PDFs when you can—they extract most reliably; scanned images may need a bit more manual touch-up.
- Upload the file and wait for processing.
- Go field by field: correct employer names, titles, and date ranges.
- Fill in gaps the extractor skipped (volunteer work, certifications, links).
- Save.
After you save
Your profile drives Chrome extension suggestions. If you change jobs or move, update the profile (or upload a newer CV) so suggestions stay current. See Keep your profile accurate.
