Files And My Documents

Files and My Documents

Personal accounts usually see both Files and My Documents in the navigation. Each area has a clear job, and both support the idea that hivi holds what you will need later—for autofill today and for scans or details you may need months from now.

Files

Files is your general-purpose library: uploads, folders, and the tools you use to organize arbitrary documents (for example PDFs, images, or exports you added yourself). You might use it when:

  • You want a single place in hivi for contracts, scans, or receipts you uploaded.
  • You are preparing attachments before you fill a form or send something to someone else.
  • You are depositing evidence you will want at your fingertips later (lease PDF, insurance letter, pet vaccination record)—the same “source of truth” habit as your profile.

Features in this area can include search, folders, and actions on individual files depending on your plan and product version.

My Documents

My Documents focuses on document instances that come from hivi’s document workflows: templates you started, checklists you are working through, or items created inside the product. Think “rows in my paperwork queue” rather than “every file on my laptop.”

Use My Documents when:

  • You started a new document from a template inside hivi.
  • You need to return to an in-progress or completed document that lives in the app’s document system.

Practical habit

If you are looking for something, ask: Did I upload it (try Files) or Did I create it from a template or request (try My Documents)?
